Picture Card Snap

A simple snap game using picture cards. 

You will need

• 6 identical sets of picture cards ( 6 different pictures in a set)

Remember their are lots of clipart images on this site to help you make cards appropriate for your child.

To play the game

• Mix the sets of cards
• Divide between the players
• Each player places a card down in turn and says what is shown on the picture e.g. cat
• If the pictures match, the first player to shout snap gets the pile of cards put down so far.
• The winner is the last player to still have cards

Variations

As an early reading practice activity replace one set of picture cards with word cards that match the pictures.
